Steward's Journey

Steward, an Indigenous man born and raised in the wilds of the Yukon Territory, lived a life of challenges spanning from the mid-1800’s into the early twentieth century. Fatherless at birth, he often felt like an outsider within his own village and struggled to find his place in the world.
Choosing to live on his own terms, Steward spent years alone in the wilderness, relying on his knowledge of the land to survive. Eventually, depending on skills learned from a loving stepfather, he builds a life as a fur-trapper and musher, finding love along the way.
Steward’s Journey depicts the challenges faced by those living in the brutal climate of Canada’s far north, as well as the courage needed to prosper in this awe-inspiring setting. Follow Steward’s adventures as he matures, learning what he wants out of life and striving to achieve it. Whether searching for gold, hunting for his next meal, dogsledding through the wilderness, or trapping valuable furs, the only thing to expect is the unexpected.
