It is 1924 and Betty ('The Fighting American') is London's top wrestler. When money is tight, she takes a job as bodyguard for a pair of London gangsters. Betty is soon drawn into an underground war between two criminal factions. It is not long before she finds herself pursued through the English countryside by a bizarre mob. 


Who are the strange creatures dogging her every step? Can a life in the seedier side of 20s London match the pulp novels she loves? Will she escape when a narcoleptic hitman comes calling for debts? Can she keep Lillian alive long enough to collect her reward?
