    This excellent reintroduction to *SPOILER* Supergirl art was done by the late Michael Turner.

    For almost 20 years, Superman had been without his *SPOILER* cousin, Kara Zor-El in comic book continuity but this comic book issue stunned comic book fans by bringing her back, and subsequent issues would not only see her return as Supergirl, the iconic Last Daughter of Krypton, but sell out, causing her to get her own book, as well as firmly (re-)establish her as pop culture's Girl of Steel - in comic books and other medium, including (but not limited to) TV's "Smallville".
