Publisher Description
Every lifetime, Luc Saint-Cyr falls in love.
Every lifetime, he walks away before love can demand forever.
Immortals endure by keeping their hearts unanchored.
Then the young man who has lingered in his thoughts since the moment they met nearly dies.
Luc gives him immortal blood, exposing a secret that could awaken enemies who have hunted his kind for millennia.
The transfusion heals Izzorah.
It also changes everything.
Because Izzorah does not respond with awe.
Or fear.
Or grateful surrender.
He responds with certainty.
He chooses Luc—not as hero, not as savior.
As home.
Luc has buried lovers. He has mourned. He has moved on.
He has never been offered shelter.
When the immortal king discovers what Luc has done, the reckoning will reach far beyond two hearts.
But the greater risk may be this:
For the first time in all his lifetimes, Luc doesn't walk away.
He chooses forever.

Amazing
This book kept my attention all the way through. The characters (Luc and Izzorah) were well written, complex and appealing. The storyline was both logical and fanciful. The ending is completely satisfying, but sets the stage for further tales within this universe. Back stories and continuations would be welcome, but are not necessary to full enjoyment of this story, which I appreciate so much.
