It's 1991, and graduation day is here! For Nathan, Eric, Jonathan, and Shawn it's the last summer before college...for most of them. Two years ago, Nathan was almost murdered by disgraced science-fiction writer Tad Caldwell and his half-alien son, Roger. Now, he lives alone in a trailer, where he broadcasts his pirate radio show about UFOs and the psychic secrets within Caldwell's book, The First Revelation. Nathan knows that saving his father's life in 1985 may be just a memory away. He begs Tad Caldwell for insight, but the wily old writer is serving a life sentence in a Mississippi prison. Nathan will learn so much more than he's bargained for when Caldwell's master plan unfolds.

Nathan isn't the only one who wants Caldwell's last book. An anonymous benefactor has paid handsomely for it, and a twisted Southern preacher with a biker gang will do anything to claim it. The birth of Tad Caldwell's cult is at hand! Nathan isn't strapped to a table this time, but things could be better. All seems lost when a friend from his past reemerges from behind the wheel of a muscle car, armed, and standing tall in a pair of killer boots. What follows is a Southern-Gothic-Sci-Fi road trip in which (almost) all questions will be answered.

Writer Kurt Amacker (Cradle of Filth, Dead Souls: Resurrection) returns with artist Vernon Smith (Bigfoot Frankenstein, Star Trek: Lower Decks) and cover artist Tim Lattie (Night Stars, Plants vs. Zombies) in a sequel to the cult graphic novel Tad Caldwell and the Monster Kid that comics legend Victor Gischler called "A fun, quirky hidden gem" and which earned an Indie Spotlight in the November 2012 edition of Diamond's Previews.
