Publisher Description
The mighty Ulassians and their formidable invasion force have traveled 128 light-years across our galaxy to conquer planet Earth and wipe out humanity.
Captain Bagor, an elite member of the special ops in charge of seizing and blasting the United States’ nuclear arsenal, is suddenly reassigned to a new mission. The flying saucer of Captain Alkarab, carrying the detonator and the key to the chain reaction that would destroy all earthlings, has disappeared from Star Fleet's radars and crash-landed somewhere, in Northern Italy.
Here's where the tragedy of war ends and the comedy of errors begins. Deployed against his own will and stranded in Italy, Bagor has to resort to his weakest skill: total improvisation. After abducting the body of a jogger in the alpine town of Bardonecchia, Bagor takes the identity of Paolo Ferraris, an obscure writer, and photographer who lives in town.
While searching for the lost comrade and his precious saucer, Bagor has to learn how to drive the new body, understand human society and deal with Paolo’s wife and family. With the help of a boor with a drinking problem and under the dogged scrutiny of a nosy nun who is convinced that Paolo is not human anymore, Bagor is on a collision course with the biggest inter-galactic threat to the Ulassian dream of world domination: Italians and their quirks!
"Terrestrial Chronicles of an alien stranded in Italy" is an hilarious adventure and an ode to a weirdly beautiful and beautifully weird country.
