Tessa Tessa

Publisher Description

SHE CAN SEE PLACES SHE'S NEVER BEEN. THE GOVERNMENT TRAINED HER TO SPY WITH THAT GIFT. THEN A MISSION TURNS DEADLY—AND HER HANDLERS STOP TELLING HER THE TRUTH.

As a child, Tessa sees things she has no way of seeing—real places and events far beyond her physical reach. Everyone else calls it imagination. The government recognizes something much more useful: remote viewing.

Recruited and trained as an extra-sensory agent, Tessa grows up using her unusual ability for intelligence work. But years of safe, predictable assignments have left her restless. So when a mission finally promises real action, she accepts without hesitation.

Then the operation goes wrong.

Tessa's life is suddenly in danger. Her handlers are withholding information. And every new discovery makes one question harder to ignore: Why would the government put one of its own valuable assets at risk?

With no easy way to know whom she can trust, Tessa must uncover what is really happening before someone decides she is more expendable than valuable.

TESSA begins a seven-book psychic-espionage thriller series filled with conspiracy, danger, romantic tension, and twists.

Reader note: This original edition is for readers who like their psychic thrillers with sharp edges—strong language, violence, and mature romantic content included. A gentler 13+ adaptation begins with TESSA RISING (The Young Telepath Book 1).

Promotes sex with children

This author is accomplished, and has obviously had some success, which is partly why I began to read this.
I was disturbed by the inappropriate inclusion of what is clearly child sex/exploitation early in the story, which of course, is obviously a reflection of the author’s own ideals. I stopped reading, and will not be buying any of this author’s work in future.

Made me uncomfortable

I thought the story line was interesting and the writing was good. Only a few minutes in the 17 year old was having sex with a 25 year old she’d just met. Her attitude toward sex was way too casual and it made me uncomfortable. Felt like a pedophile. Couldn’t read any more of it. Don’t know why she couldn’t have been 21. Found it creepy. attituDidn’t like a 17 year old having casual sex with a 25 year old she’d just met.
