OH, OH! SOMEONE'S TRYING TO EXECUTE A COUP!

     Roger Denton, Assistant Professor of Off-World Cultures at the Pacific Institute of Technology in Honolulu, visits the planet Pode for a second time and immediately finds himself immersed in intrigue at the royal palace of Tetepu, Pode's largest country.

     When Emperor Fen, Tetepu's ruler, is wounded in a failed assassination attempt, he enlists Roger's aid in identifying and apprehending the would-be assassins. But when the emperor and his family subsequently go missing, the mystery only deepens. Who tried to kill the emperor? And why? Is the disappearance of the royal family connected to the assassination plot? And who's that general, now claiming that the emperor put him in charge of running the government?
