Two world-renowned marketing consultants and bestselling authors present the definitive rules of marketing.
While some of the content has become a little dated (including the unforeseen success of Apple, and NeXT’s eventual success in OS X and iOS), the laws themselves ring true, and many of the ideas are transferable/applicable across categories. The writing itself is also good, and the pace of the book is quite steady – it took me about a week to read.
Mostly interesting and still relevant
While dated, much of the book seems to remain relevant in 201. I'd be interested in the authors' views on what has changed in their minds since this book was first published and how democratized media has impacted marketing strategy, tactics and budget.
Still, I enjoyed it and found much of the boom interesting and thought provoking. I'll definitely apply some of the ideas in my work.
