In the matter of the Adoption (Northern Ireland) Order 1987 The High Court (Weir J) Delivered 27 October 2008 This case concerned a Trust application, under Article 18 of the Adoption (Northern Ireland) Order 1987, to free two children for adoption without the agreement of their mother, LS, who sought their return. Their father, PM, had given his written agreement to their adoption shortly before the commencement of the hearing. The guardian ad litem (GAL) supported the Trust's application.
