Brooke
Raising twins by myself wasn’t the life I pictured, but the three of us have done pretty well together. They’re in their senior year of high school now, and I’m thinking maybe I can finally get back into the dating pool.
Given that my late-husband was my high school sweetheart—my one and only—and it’s been more than twenty years, I have no idea where to start. Do I swipe right, speed date, or maybe just stand on a corner and shout forty and single, please date me?
When an associate offers a trade—my business knowledge in exchange for his hook-up expertise—I jump on the agreement far faster than I should.
But I draw the line at taking the coaching into the bedroom, especially if his best friend is joining us. This cougar knows better than to ogle the cubs nearly a decade younger than me.
Don’t I?

Another chance to find love
For me, this book was all about getting another chance to find love. I also found some pretty powerful messages about being responsible for your own happiness and not living your life to satisfy anyone else but yourself. For his ability to embrace those concepts, I adored Adam. I wanted to cuddle him tight when the others were resisting their connection. Brooke and Deacon kind of broke my heart with all the emotional baggage they were still clinging to. They had my sympathy, but I still wanted to smack some sense into them at the same time. The ending of this book left me with a sweet happy sigh and a strong reluctance to let go of these characters. I can’t wait to see what the author brings us next.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
Friends with benefits
This is a story of discovery, friendship, love - The story picks up after the last one and Deacon, Adam and Brooke. She is the mother of twin and ready to start dating again. Her friend Deacon and his on and off lover Adam will guide her on how to find love in exchange for her business acumen. Soon they will find themselves enthralled with each other with a mixture of small town gossip and a bit of drama. It is an interesting story that makes you anxious to read what's next. I volunteered to review this story.
