The Ashes

Youcef Boudjbiha is the author of THE

TRAITS. He authored, performed in the

theatrical plays including THE MESSAGE,

and SURVIVOR. He co-authored and starred

in the plays MARLA, AHMAD a joint research

project by the South West Sydney Legal Centre

and the Western Sydney University Legal and

Social Faculties.

Youcef was a cast member and starred in ASYLUM produced by

Urban Theatre Projects.

Regardless to all the tragedies, one can find strength through

resilience, perseverance to come out capable of achieving all

things. Amongst the charred, blackened remains of what was

once green, springs life again.

There is a collective responsibility to write about the past, the

present for the future’s sake.
