The Asteroid

Even though Earth has over a decade of warning, there is something very unusual about the Asteroid that is going to strike the planet. NASA sends a shuttle to checkout the object. What will the astronauts find? The President tries to destroy or divert it, but what if he is unsuccessful? When a piece of the object does strike Earth , a huge billowing cloud of ash covers the earth. Driving the planets temperature to a possible new ice age, and people into hiding. When the food supply runs out, people turn vicious. Morals fail and survival seems to be the only instinct. Will the people of Earth survive or become extinct like the dinosaurs?
