The Blazing World

Margaret Cavendish was a Duchess of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and a prolific writer and scientist. Cavendish wrote poetry, essays and plays and even engaged with famous philosophers of her time including Thomas Hobbes and René Descartes.

Cavendish’s novel The Blazing World, published in 1666, was one of the earliest examples of science fiction.  This edition includes a table of contents.
