On moonless nights the people of the Marshlands fear walking home through the bogs. For there, under the mantle of darkness, swarm the Evil Things eagerly awaiting the chance to hound any traveller to a horrible death. The Moon, learning of this, comes to Earth to try to help the villagers, but herself falls victim to the treachery of the bogland and its cruel inhabitants …
