The Carpetbaggers
Harold Robbins' masterpiece was very hard to put down. I found it very interesting the way he outlined a plot, and then wrote separate descriptions for the main characters, and intertwined them throughout the novel, so that he kind of had separate books within the body of work. The character development was sheer genius, the plot riveting, including all of the steamy sex scenes. I am glad to have read MR. Robbins' best book, and will most assuredly read more of his offerings.
