The Cassandra Project.
Jack McDevitt has to be one of my go to authors. I know that when I crack on of his books open, I'll never be disappointed. Plots that keep you guessing, characters you can believe in and pacing to keep you reading breathlessly. The Cassandra Project was this and more. I love when a book makes you think.
