I loved it!
This is the seventh book in the K-9 Protection Romance series. I love this series. Colton and Penny's story is well written. Colton, a sexy billionaire, is very protective and supportive. Penny is shy, beautiful, and smart. She had a heartbreaking past, and she escaped from an abusive ex. She definitely is a strong survivor. They are opposites attract, and they are perfect together. They are both interesting characters. Their story is filled with secrets and twists and turns. There is a lot going on in this story. I liked the intrigue, the suspense, and the romance. This is a series of interconnected stories, and I can't wait for the next in the series.
There’s a lot going on in this book
Wow. There’s a lot going on in this book. I don’t want to give any of it away, because I think it’s all important to be revealed as it is in the story. Colton’s backstory is not at all what I imagined, but he himself is everything I could hope for from a protective alpha police officer. Penny’s story broke my heart, and I loved that she was able to find strength through adversity and come out the other side a survivor. I particularly liked the twist that Colton applied to get new evidence against The Sling, and I can’t wait to see where this will lead the detectives.
