The Devî Gita

Swami Vijnanananda (born Hariprasanna Chattopadhaya) was an Indian engineer and great scholar of Sanskrit. While studying in High School, he saw Sri Ramakrishna for the first time and took him to be his Master. Sri Ramakrishna showed great love and kindness towards Hariprasanna, gave him important instructions on spiritual life and blessed him in several ways.

Published in 1921, The Devî Gita is an excerpt of a larger medieval Hindu Sanskrit text. This book comprises the description of the Devi's incarnation, the discourse on her nature, including the way she wants to be worshipped.
