Utterly brilliant
An alternate history filled with amazing characters, a deeply twisty plot, the best fictional vampires this side of ... anything, really, and the occasional half-page buried Star Wars pun. All in some of the most wonderfully readable prose ever put to paper. I love this book unreasonably.
