The moment Gabriel's father, Tyrian, looks upon his son he knows the child is destined for greatness. It is something he is determined to train him well for, as he knows the Fates never give gifts of this magnitude without a reason.

Danaë, Gabriel's mother knows her mate well enough to fear for the way he will teach their son. Tyrian isn't the only one aware of the heavy hand of the Fates. She does as well and is determined to shield him from the harsh road he will be forced to travel. It is a dream that will be denied when she is killed in battle when Gabriel is only six.
