Originally published in 1930, The Edwardians is one of Vita Sackville-West’s later novels. As the only child of the 3rd Baron Sackville, Sackville-West understood the obligations and restrictions of the upper class, and The Edwardians is both a critique of aristocratic life during the Edwardian period, and a reflection of her own experiences.
