APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Don’t let its brevity mislead you: The Ermine Coat will leave your heart full and your mind spinning. A family of four—all female—in impoverished Eastern Europe quietly dream of a different life; amidst creepy folk songs and animal pelts, the characters manage to find hope and even some joy. Maria Reva narrates the story through the eldest daughter, whose adolescent awakening makes her perspective especially gripping. This story's lofty goals are more than realized.
