The Eternal Dream almost

Sam Maxlowne is a veteran private detective who has decided to spend the last years of his life away from the madding crowd. He takes refuge in the Sunshine State in a prestigious residential area in Boca Raton, under the pseudonym Richard Dreyfuss, to avoid being located by the ghosts of his past. The death of old Mary Sue, the owner of the residence, triggered a series of changes that directly affected his peace. This, and the death of another resident, make Sam again put his nose in a situation where he is not called. It is a setting in a frame larger than he would expect. This story is about economic interests, greed, betrayal, unspeakable acts, old loves, old games, tormented souls and some decent characters. It is a tribute to the great detectives of crime fiction, and its creators and actors who gave life to the characters in the movies.
