Fall of Hyperion
I have no words to describe the intensity and depth of this novel. It takes focus and research away from the novel to understand the depth the author has gone to. Mentally fulfilling and, at times confusing, but very rewarding. Themes of philosophy, time connections and belief. Worth every minute and will read again.
The Fall of Hyperion
This is a well constructed narrative, with superbly engaging characters. There are sublime surprises, and wonderful twists that keep the reader bewildered. I would not have the expectation of being as mesmerized as with Hyperion, but the final result is, in fact, more satisfying.
First book great, second book terrible
I loved the first book of this series but this book was just awful and ruined the experience of the first novel for me. I gave it a decent chance - reading 1/3 of the book - but I found that most of the time I was bored. Most of what I read seemed to be filler without any interesting content.
