Scarlett Jones survived the unthinkable.

She is a final girl.

Nearly friendless and almost alone, she's been hired by a famous artist, Tom Radney, to be a paid companion to his stepsister Genevieve. Tom and Genevieve are rich and eccentric. Genevieve sits in her rooms and plays with her dolls. Tom's most famous painting is of his ex-wife, a woman Scarlett strongly resembles.

There is something in the woods around Tom Radney's historic Victorian house, something Scarlett recognizes. It paces among the trees, waiting for her. Could the sprawling old house, the odd rich people and the dark thing lurking in the woods (and in her memories) be the key to her past?
