Poen de Wijs (1948) is a famous Dutch contemporary painter of realism. After a lifetime of painting, and over 40 years of giving painting lessons, he summarizes his experiences and transmits them for future generations. In his earlier multimedia books ‘Inside the studio of the Dutch painter Poen de Wijs’, one can find his technique and his complete works. In this extra Multimedia Book he gives a renewal: all paintings are made with metallic acrylic paint, especially with gold, but also copper and silver. Previously he had worked parts of paintings with metallic paint, but in this series it is the only type of paint he used. For those who want to try it themselves, Poen de Wijs even gives the secret recipe!
