Publisher Description
Hugo Marshall earned the nickname "the Wolf of Clermont" for his ruthless ambition--a characteristic that has served him well, elevating the coal miner's son to the right hand man of a duke. When he's ordered to get rid of a pestering governess by fair means or foul, it's just another day at work.
But after everything Miss Serena Barton has been through at the hands of his employer, she is determined to make him pay. She won't let anyone stop her--not even the man that all of London fears. They might call Hugo Marshall the Wolf of Clermont...but even wolves can be brought to heel.

Great novella
One of the best novellas out there. Many authors can’t forge a connection between two characters in such a short amount of time. Milan can.
The Governess Affair
Finally, we have a romance where the heroine is not a weak, simpering, twitter-pated little fool. Milan is a lovely voice in your head as you read. Her story is not overloaded with unnecessary historical detail, the plots carry you along and the characters are quickly liked or hated., and through all the injustice and broken heartedness, you really want love to win.
Beautifully written
This was the first book I read from this author. The characters are so real and have a real depth to them. I cried when they cried and was happy for them when the story had a happy ending.
