The Grinder Adaptations

This anthology is a collection of classical works adapted for contemporary stage presentation. The collection includes Dulcitius by Hroswitha of Gandersheim (the world's first known female playwright), a satyr play by Euripides, two dramatizations of Chaucer's Canterbury tales, the epic Old English saga Beowulf, and the anonymous play Everyman. With the exception of Beowulf all the plays have been successfully produced, and have resonated with actors and audiences alike as witty, insightful and fun.
