Sir Edwin Arnold (10 Jue 1832 – 24 Mar 1904) was an English poet and journalist, who devoted a lot of his work to Asian culture, most know of which is The Light of Asia. He was one of the fouding fathers of the Mahabodhi Society of India. He saw the interpretation in English philosophy of the East as him primary task as a literator. Arnold's other notable works were Indian Song of Pearls of the Faith, The Song Celestial, With Sadi in the Garden and more.
Sheikh Sa'di (1184-1291) was a Persian medieval poet. He is known for sophisticated language and deep thoughts on society. Most notable works of him are Bustan (The Orchard) and Gulistan (The Rose Garden).
The Gulistan, "The Rose Garden" is a landmark of Persian literature. The stories in his volume are laconic yet deep and hold variety of ideas and thoughts.
