The High School Pitcher

Harrie Irving Hancock was an American chemist and writer of children's literature in the late 19th-20th centuries. A prolific author was also known as a successful journalist and wrote for the New York Journal. Being a talented and sensitive person Hancock wrote fantastic stories for the children. He strongly believed that "boys want the thrill of feeling 'grown-up'" and that they like books about heroes and adventures.  

The second book in the series of  “High School Boys” is based on the actual doings of school boys and has won many hearts of the average American boys.
