The Ice Cream Girl

I sat quietly in my bed, eyes closed, tears streaming down my face. As I licked each tear off my cheek one by one, it reminded me of a time I shared with an ice cream cone on a hot day. A time when the ice cream was melting quickly, causing me to quickly lick what was dripping down the cone before it melted into my hands. That was a better day than this particular night. However it made me realize that sometimes it's hard to separate what we love from what is hurting us the most. And it is especially hard when we are not aware. What was I holding onto that was keeping me from being happy? The Ice Cream Girl is a book written about my journey so far and is the inspiration behind my song "Ice Cream."
