The Illegal Separation

Ernestine Stein's world is shattered when her husband reveals his plan to separate. The bright, witty, dyslexic middle-aged Floridian takes a brief leave of absence from her job. She sets out in her beige mini-van with the intention of travelling south to where the highway ends. A series of near-disastrous events prevent her from reaching the final destination of Key West. Ernie's unplanned stop-over on tiny Mosquito Key results in an adventure of growth and healing amongst a community of eclectic, compassionate new friends.
