The Immortal Light

The Immortal Light is a novel of strange discovery and spiritual enlightenment in the mysterious interior of Antarctica.  It recounts the journey of a group of four intrepid polar explorers at the beginning of the 20th Century; what they discover—strange races, advanced civilizations, unusual technologies and sophisticated science, and, ultimately, intellectual and spiritual enlightenment by advanced beings nearest the South Pole itself—is enough to change history, and justly earns their adventure the honor of "the most successful and important expedition of all time."  


The Mesembria Press Annotated Editions aim to bring back to general awareness forgotten works of fiction, philosophy, and scientific speculation, which—if not nearly so famous nor, perhaps, so important as the recognized classics—seem deserving of renewed attention and rediscovery.  With this end in sight, we have prepared brand-new e-book editions of these lost "classics," designed for ease of reading and navigation, thoroughly proofread and edited for typos and mistakes, and supplemented with copious and original endnotes, to clarify the text and make more understandable its meaning.
