The Joy of Parenting Preschoolers is a unique book for Christians on parenting preschoolers which includes how to hire a babysitter least likely to abuse your children, what sex offenders are looking for in their victims, how to develop a healthy sense of self and sexuality (including dealing with masturbation and sex play, what is normal, what is outside the bounds of normal, what is indicative of children who have been sexually abused), how to discover your child's personality and work with it (identify your child's temperament according to the Myers Briggs type structure), how to develop altruistic values, how to grow kids with a conscience, how to discipline in love, how to train your preschooler to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and the voice of God, how to train your preschooler to be resistant to being a victim of abuse or abduction, how to emotionally protect your child from the world, an abusive family or yourself, how to deal with undesirable behaviors, how to deal with your own needs as a parent, how to deal with children in conflict with each other and, how to deal with nightmares and night terrors, and if your child has been abused, how to help heal your child's heart and soul through walking your child through inner healing.

Sybil was studying to become a Marriage and Family Therapist/Psychologist, when her first child was a baby. She benefited from courses in Child Development, Family Dynamics, Sexual Abuse, and Domestic Violence along with the Theological training she was receiving at Fuller Theological Seminary which enabled her to apply Christian principles and values to all aspects of her work and writings. Sybil is the proud mother of three, all now adults.
