The King's Black Dragon

When the king orders his favorite warrior knight, the Black Dragon, to marry the daughter of a lowland baron, Kenloch is enraged, but with his titles and highland castle at risk, he travels to Bally Glen to wed the girl.  He finds his heart captured by the baron's other daughter and not the golden beauty Juliana.  Risking the king's rage, he marries Johanna.  Their idyllic life at Kenloch Castle is threatened by the king's demands that Kenloch assure his heir and return to court.  When their son is born, Kenloch knows he will be ordered back to court to dance attendance on the spoiled monarch.  Johanna vows to find a way to thwart the king and keep Kenloch home, laird of his massive castle and lands.
