APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Written when Beth Reekles was only 15 and originally published on the story-sharing Wattpad app, The Kissing Booth reads like a text chain between the coolest girls in school. Inexperienced Elle realizes she has feelings for Noah, the hot older brother of her best friend Lee, but she’s convinced Noah will never see her as anything but his little brother’s friend. Welsh author Reekles’ conversational, slangy style sets up a teen romance that’s compulsively readable and so charming it was adapted by Netflix!
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
British teen author Reekles's debut novel began life (and gained popularity) on the self-publishing Web site Wattpad, before being acquired for U.S. publication in a three-book deal that includes a planned sequel. The story revolves around 16-year-old Rochelle "Elle" Evans's conflicted relationship with Noah Flynn, the (self-described) "bad boy" older brother of her longtime best friend, Lee. In just one week, Elle goes from having her first kiss to losing her virginity to Noah (off camera), then keeps their affair secret from everyone, including Lee. Readers may be drawn in by the forbidden romance, but Elle comes across every bit as vulnerable and na ve as Noah likes to tell her she is. Despite an eventual and unrealistic transformation on Noah's part, their power-imbalanced relationship is more upsetting than alluring: Noah has warned guys to stay away from Elle for years to "protect" her, chastises her for dressing too provocatively, and regularly uses his charms to manipulate or distract her. A lightly developed supporting cast and a slow pace further undermine an effort that doesn't live up to its potential. Ages 14 up.

Loved this
I loved this book so much!! Read it so fast and would read it again 100 times! Such a cute story, the second book is also amazing.
😕
That person’s comment about finding it unrealistic that the father has no problem letting his daughter get drunk sounds so elitist. What world did you grow up in? Beverly hills? Its called being a single parent or not always making the best decisions. Its a rly cute story but the part that really got me was how controlling Noah is. If someone really loves you they let you live your life.
Amazing
The book gave me a mental image of the story and the love between Elle and Flynn was so real to me ! Also there was just amazing details that really being the book to life ! Totally recommend!
