The Lucky Ones

Supernatural Bounty Hunter. Dangerous or not, the job is mine. And it was going fine, until the elders decided to call my name. 
If there ever was a time I wished I had decided on a career that didn't involve law enforcement, this was it. Because the job they want me to do is impossible. 

This month’s sabbatical: the seven Hells. Not much of a vacay where one sips on margaritas, though that is what I want, and I strongly suspect, need. The elders want me to retrieve an ancient codex from a group of treacherous mages on a mission to rid Earth of the current world’s chief magical authority.

The word of the day: Coup d’état. The problem: there isn’t enough coffee in the world to fuel me to stop it.
