Allen (The Millionaire Course) coasts through his newest, and it's disappointing. The co-founder of New World Library strings together quotes and passages from other people's work (for example, The Art of True Healing by Israel Regardie) as well as his own previous writings and recordings. Lots of authors write the same book over and over, but this one seems more obvious and less fresh. What could help is more storytelling and personal anecdotes; Allen has led a successful life. What he offers instead is a series of affirmations that will be familiar to everyone who knows something of New Thought and law-of-attraction teachings. His meditations and prayers form a good core of self-help practices, but would probably work better as a recorded presentation. His fans will like it, but this won't earn him new ones.
