True-crime-loving friends Elizabeth, Joyce, Ron, and Ibrahim land in the middle of a dangerous case when Elizabeth receives an unexpected letter from a man Elizabeth worked with years ago at MI5—who’s supposed to be long dead. Before you can say “afternoon tea,” the club are knee deep in a riveting investigation involving 20 million pounds’ worth of diamonds freshly stolen from the Mafia. We were caught up in the excitement as the septuagenarians venture into the British underworld; Osman’s witty asides and sarcastic dialogue keep the mood buoyant and fun.
