The Midnight Zone

My love for the ocean grew as I advanced my education at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg and when I became a high school Marine Science teacher. Seeing the joy in my students' eyes when I taught them about the wonders of the deep sea fueled my passion to create a children's book. I imagined the spark in kids' eyes when they see a Giant squid or an Angler fish, and that is the joy I felt when I first saw them too. There is so much left to explore and find in the ocean. The journey starts with you.

Tatiana Ramirez is an alumnus of the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. When she became a high school Marine Science teacher, she saw the joy in her students' eyes when she taught them about the wonders of the deep sea, which fueled her passion to create a children's book.
