Publisher Description
Jeremy Hawthorne can’t sleep: he’s caught between his father-in-law/boss, the condescending wife, and a sadist at the office whose job is to inject Jeremy with truth serum every two weeks. All Jeremy wants to do is quit his job is with the MI6 intelligence unit, and become a painter. It’s gotten so bad, that he decided to seek professional help from a psychiatrist who treats his patients with hypnosis.
Under hypnosis, Jeremy unknowingly divulged that there is a school in India where the UK trains its best spies, as well as the secret Agreement between Putin and Her Majesty. Both were sensitive state secrets. The psychiatrist’s partner, a spy novelist, got hold of the session recordings and decided to make a profit by selling the secrets through an underworld connection to the highest-bidding foreign government.
The fallout was disastrous: pinned between gloating Americans and conniving Chinese, MI6 had to quickly scramble to contain the situation, without really knowing what was leaked and who leaked it. Meanwhile, Jeremy fell in love with a girl who resembled his favorite portrait – The Naked Maja by Goya – and decided to follow his dream of becoming a painter.
