Publisher Description
Enter the world of Holly Well Springs… where the Christmas spirit lives on.
I've saved hundreds of lives.
But the one I couldn't save is the only one I see when I close my eyes.
After losing a patient on my watch, the noise of New York became unbearable—sirens, headlines, expectations. I needed distance from the pressure of being the doctor who always gets it right. So when an opportunity opens up in Holly Well Springs—a Christmas-all-year town in the middle of summer—I tell myself it's temporary.
One month.
No attachments.
No permanent decisions.
Then I meet James.
Working beside him in the ER feels effortless—like we've been a team for years instead of days. He's steady in a crisis, calm when my confidence wavers, and somehow able to see the part of me that still believes I'm meant to heal.
But just as I begin to find my footing again, the town faces a threat that could change everything. A powerful development company plans to build a casino next door, putting Holly Well Springs—and the magic that holds it together—at risk.
James is being asked to step into leadership.
I'm being asked to stay and take over the ER.
Leaving would mean returning to the life I understand.
Staying would mean fighting for a town that's starting to feel like home… and a man who already does.
Because sometimes healing isn't about running from what broke you.
Sometimes it's about choosing where you're strong enough to stay.

Emotional!
This is the fourth book in the Holly Well Springs Series, a Small Town Romance. I haven't read the previous book in the series. Sophie and James's emotional story is filled with drama, mystery, and twists and turns. The characters are well developed, and interesting. The supporting characters are great. The story ends with a cliffhanger. Looking forward to more in the series.
