The Perfect Pelican

Have you ever seen a pelican waddle on land yet glide effortlessly in the sky? Even though pelicans are less than attractive, they have amazing abilities that set them apart from other birds.

In the story "The Perfect Pelican," you will meet Perfect-One, a pelican who is born different from the other pelicans in the colony. He will delight you with his charming personality and unique perspective on life. You will also be introduced to his brother, and together they experience many adventures, as brothers often do!

I had the opportunity to spend some of my winters in Mexico and observed pelicans and their sometimes peculiar behavior. That is where the idea for this book was "hatched." Though there are some interesting facts about pelicans woven into this story, I believe the main theme is about relationships, courage and discovering and using your unique gifts.
