This friends to lovers/forbidden romance was fun and sexy with a sweet and heartwarming ending. I loved Evie's naughty playfulness and I am always down for some forbidden love. The chemistry between Evie and Smith definitely produced sufficient steam to fog up the windows. However, the characters and story didn't hold the same level of intensity for me. I didn't find an emotional connection with the characters. Normally when I read a Kendall Ryan book I am giddy with feels. The story followed an often travelled path and I never found myself surprised by anything that happened, yet I felt there was one or two issues that weren't entirely resolved. Although this wasn't my favorite book from this author, she's definitely still a favorite overall and I'm still going to continue to read her books.

I read about half the book and then I had to put to down. It just wasn’t my cup of tea! I felt like I was forcing myself to read which I can’t stand
Forbidden No More
Ever since she was a child Evie now 23 has had a crush on Smith her brother’s best friend who is seven years older. She is meeting Smith and her brother Cullen for dinner and she wants a "do over" of her first sexual encounter as it was disappointing and she believes it will be off the charts with Smith. Smith has been attracted to Evie for a while but she is strictly hands off as she is his best friend's sister however when she sneaks into his bed it changes everything even though it doesn't end as she would have hoped. When Cullen wants the three of them to work together at her family's lingerie business they end up spending time together and their feelings grow deeper but what will happen when her overprotective brother finds out? I loved the banter between Smith and Evie and how their relationship evolved gradually. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
