Crazy grocery bill and lots of work

I downloaded this book because I am only about ten pounds away from ideal weight. I am very disappointed in the lack of vegetarian choices along with the large amount of items to be purchased every week, that's just crazy to me. I also did not like the idea of incorporating desert after very meal and the snacking in between meals, it just creates bad habits. Why iceberg lettuce it has no nutritional value to it?, and all the processed foods like cheese slices and jello pudding just to name a few.
