Great and Brilliant
Thank you Lisa Renee for another wonderful story. I am really looking forward to reading The Empire and seeing what happens to Eric and Harper’s love story. Such great characters and sexy story.💋❤️🔥
An addictive page turner!
Wow! There’s no lagging behind allowed when we pick right up and we’re off full throttle with The Princess. Harper and Eric are enjoying their relationship, but the trust is still fairly new and they’re still learning. The families are not helping, in fact their ties are causing some very dangerous situations for them, their relationship is in constant turmoil and knowing who to trust is getting harder.
I was enthralled, the story kept me thoroughly intrigued even though not much was achieved in the plot, it didn’t move on much, but plenty seemed to be happening.
Harper and Eric had time to heat the sheets a time or two - or three, but who’s counting. And there was plenty of nail biting tension with help from the Walker Brothers security and some buddies, Savage being my favourite, a laugh a minute guy but hard as nails when needed. An exciting read, the angst and drama was intense, the writing was phenomenal.
Desperately need the final instalment now, The Empire. I can’t wait.
4.5 star—intriguing and exciting
4.5 stars--THE PRINCESS is the second instalment in Lisa Renee Jones’ contemporary, adult FILTHY TRILOGY erotic, romance series focusing on billionaire/Navy SEAL and second in command to Grayson Bennett, Eric Mitchell, and heiress Harper Evans. Eric was first introduced in the author’s DIRTY RICH BETRAYAL (Dirty Rich #4) but you do not have to have read the previous release to understand or follow the story. As per most of Lisa’s series, there is a slight cross-over with inclusion of some of the characters from the author’s Walker Security series including Blake Walker, Savage and Adam. THE PRINCESS should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately following the events of book one THE BASTARD.
SOME BACKGROUND: Six years earlier, Eric Mitchell, the bastard son of Kingston Motors CEO Jeff Kingston met his father’s new step-daughter Harper Evans, a woman Eric dubbed The Princess, but a woman that stirred something deep within our story line hero. A one-night stand followed by the realization of who and what Harper Evans represented further pushed Eric away from his birth right, as the spare to the heir of Kingston Motors. Fast forward to present day wherein Harper Evans is in desperate need of Eric’s help, help Eric isn’t willing to give without a price.
NOTE: The Filthy Trilogy was intended to be a duet but the author has decided that Eric and Harper’s story line requires further attention.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Harper and Eric) THE PRINCESS continues to focus on the building relationship between Eric Mitchell and Harper Evans, a relationship that is threatened from an outside source. An attack against Harper finds Eric upping the security around the woman with whom he is falling in love but in doing so finds himself in a vulnerable position for attack, as well. Not knowing who to trust, Eric and Harper must venture forth to New York, with the suspicion that everyone is suspect including family and friends. What ensues are Eric and Harper’s fight for their safety, as Eric struggles to stay one step-ahead of the person(s) trying to destroy their lives.
The relationship between Eric and Harper continues to evolve; an erotic romance wherein Erin battles demons from the past, ongoing rejection, and a fight to prove he is worthy of love. Harper struggles with her mother’s choices, choices that have affected our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The world building remains focused on the bitter relationship between Eric Mitchell, and the family that has rejected him most of his life. As the bastard son of billionaire businessman Jeff Kingston, Eric has battled father and son in an attempt to avenge the treatment of his mother, a woman who died too young, and alone.
THE PRINCESS is a story of fractured family dynamics, family dynamics that continue to spiral out of control. No one is safe; everyone is suspect as one by one, members of the Mitchell/Kingston family are targeted in a powerful game with an unknown opponent. Secrets are slowly revealed, secrets that will affect our story line couple. The character driven premise is intriguing, exciting and realistic; the characters are strong, colorful and dynamic; the romance is passionate, moving and provocative. THE PRINCESS ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
