This is the version to get from Apple Bookstore
After two disappointing purchases of other versions, this one works. The two other versions I bought didn’t show enough in their ‘Sample’ in the Apple Bookstore (shame on you, Apple!), and they either didn’t have the original sketches included, or the translation from Latin was not visible for some of the manuscripts.
I recommend this version.
Apple Bookstore could clean this up a lot with just a bit more information in the descriptions of the various versions sold from their service. That would be called ‘customer service’, Apple.
The foundation of the science of the universe
If not for this book, our understanding of the universe, of gravity, and orbiting bodies, would not be.
This translation from the original Latin version is great. Newton has laid out the basic laws of physics which allow us to precisely foretell astronomical events, and put spacecraft deep into space with pinpoint precision launched decades before reaching the intended targets.
Thank you, Isaac Newton.
