Publisher Description

The Proposal Laughbox contains THREE full-length novels and TWO novellas - ONE ALL NEW! -  from New York Times bestselling romantic comedy author Julia Kent’s series.

Who doesn’t love a funny, heartwarming proposal? Diamond engagement rings, flowers, candy, romantic dinners — it’s all in here in rom com style.

Julia Kent’s madcap style, that is.

Future brides swallow engagement rings, paparazzi crash tender moments when billionaires pop the question, mistaken identity causes mayhem, small-town lumberjacks ask their girfriends for their hands in marriage, and rock stars make grand gestures on New Year’s Eve.

Laugh, swoon, blush and let your imagination heat up as you read across varying series, different heat levels, but all connected by love.

This boxed set includes:

Shopping for a Billionaire’s Fiancee

Random Acts of New Year

Shopping for a CEO’s Fiancee (A USA Today bestseller)

Random Acts of Yes

and an ALL NEW novella, Love You Fiancee, featuring Kell and Rachel from Love You Right, as Kell pops the question during the I Will Always Love You festival in his hometown of “Love You,” Maine - where every day is Valentine’s Day.

Sink into five fun books that leave you with all the feels, loads of laughs, and strange looks from people around you as you read, giggle, and fall in love.

Note: each of these books can be read as a standalone, but they are part of larger series. All of my Laughbox boxed sets are designed to give readers a taste of my books, centered on a specific concept (in this case, proposals and engagements). Full disclosure for readers.

Epic stories LOL memories

This should be called the ode to proposals gone bad! This is an absolute sweet, funny, romantic stories told in the man POV stories. Declan and the ring in the tiramisu is epic, Andrew and the swim in the pound and shrinking pants absolute perfection and Kell and his ukulele proposal is the sweetest. Each have an happy ending and all of them will make you swoon and make you wish for your own.

I'm laughing so hard I can't breathe

Shopping for a Billionaire's Fiancee
I loved getting the chance to see this circus from Declan's point of view. I'm not totally sure if that's what really goes on in a man's mind, but I kinda hope it is. Wow, it's pretty hot in there. For a man so used to being in complete control of everything that goes on around him, it's almost heartbreaking to watch Declan's beautiful, carefully planned proposal go right out the window even though I'm laughing so hard I can't breathe. In spite of their families' best (or is it worst?) intentions, Shannon and Declan are perfect together.
Shopping for a CEO's Fiancee
I hurt. My ribs ache. I can't catch my breath. I feel like I was the one running Vince's training course, not Andrew. All the books in this series are funny, but I don't remember laughing as hard during any of them as I have through this one. We've seen Amanda through Shannon's eyes so it was very interesting to see her from the perspective of the man who loves her. To see more of her heart. In previous books we've watched Andrew behave like quite the jerk. It was really a revelation to see the sensitive, poet's soul that he hides from the world. My heart bled for him so many times as he tried to create the perfect moment for a proposal. And all of those times when their words couldn't convey the right meanings to each shredded my emotions. In a lot of ways it felt like there wasn't much emotional middle-ground, swinging from delight to despair and back again. I almost felt like I should be crying through the whole book: half the time because I was laughing so hard and the rest of the time from Andrew's tragic miss-steps. The artistry and imagery of the words in this book are such that I can so easily imagine every one of these impossible situations happening right in front of me. I can't wait to see what this zany cast of characters gets up to next.
Random Acts of Yes
Murphy’s Law suggests that if it can go wrong, it will. And the guys, and their girls of Random Acts of Crazy seem to prove out this theory. This short little story manages to touch on a bunch of big themes; including love, jealousy, trust, and forgiveness, as well as that sense of “the family you choose” that fills every story in this series.
Random Acts of New Year
There’s just something about Liam and Charlotte that brings out all the feels. This book still has its fair share of laughs, but there’s an undercurrent of poignancy that keeps it more on the sweet side than the silly one. It was a sweetness that had me nearly in tears a couple of times. I love seeing the band finally achieve their successes. However, what I love the most is seeing this group of hard-partying young adults mature; learning those big life lessons and coming to those hard-won realizations. (Well, at least some of them are.)
Love You Fiancee
I love Kell and Rachel so much. This story gives me the best of everything we’ve seen from Love You, Maine so far. The quirky, nosy town residents that all have opinions to share. The mishaps and pratfalls that seem to only happen to members of the younger generation of Luviews. And the overwhelming sense of community, family, and belonging that’s baked into the DNA of this series. I laughed so hard my sides still hurt, and I’m already itching to get my hands on the next book.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
