A long time ago, whenever there was a wedding in the village, the river flooded the bridge. But the bridge was the only way to fetch the bride. People had to throw a c**k in the river to let the flood recede. One day, a woman picked up a dying c**k on the hillside and saved it. On this day, there was a drama which was playing in this village; the song which was sung by the actors awakened the recollection of the c**k.

The c**k used to be a phoenix in heaven. One day, she ate the magic pills without permission and was afraid of being punished; she became a girl and escaped to the world of men. She was secretly in love with the woodcutter without permission, so the Queen’s Mother turned her into a c**k. The woodcutter jumped into the river and became a lonely dragon.
